Food and Clothing Drive

In an effort to brighten the holidays of those less fortunate in the Carlisle area, the Food and Clothing Drive Committee is continuing to collect non-perishable food items, hams, frozen turkeys and warm clothing (coats, sweaters, hats, gloves, etc.).

These items will be presented to Project S.H.A.R.E. on behalf of Elks Lodge 578 for distribution to members of our community who are in desperate need of them. A blue food collection bin is located on the table outside the coatroom, and a gray clothing collection bin is located inside the coatroom. Please give any turkeys and hams directly to lounge staff for storage in the kitchen freezer. Monetary donations may be placed in the donation jars located at the bar or may be given directly to the Lodge Secretary. Any coupons that may help stretch our resources further are also appreciated, and volunteers are needed to assist Project S.H.A.R.E. in the distribution of our contributions.

We are very excited by the response, enthusiasm, and feedback we have received so far on this important initiative, as support from our members will be the most critical component to making these efforts a success for our community. Thank you for your support and contributions. With your help, we will continue to live up to our motto that “Elks Care. Elks Share”. Please feel free to contact me (717-386-6569) or my husband, Frank (717-386-6608) with any questions.

Warmest Regards,
